This is obviously for Chrome, but many Mac users rely on Safari to browse the web, and you’ll be pleased to know that you can add Safari bookmarks and webpages to your Mac’s Dock in an identical way. The left side of the Dock is strictly for apps, at least for now. This is because only the right-side can accept files, folders, and URL links. So, if you were attempting to keep it right next to your favorite apps, you’re out of luck. It’s worth noting that you can only successfully drag and drop your bookmarks on the right side of the Dock, next to the Trash. There you go, you’ve added a Chrome bookmark to the Mac Dock.
Now, you’ll find your bookmark or webpage in the Dock with a default globe icon as shown here. Alternatively, you can select a website URL from the address bar and drag it to the Dock and it’ll be saved. 
Now, simply click and drag the bookmark to your Mac’s Dock as shown below.
Now, you’ll see the newly added web page in the bookmarks bar when you open a new tab. Click on the star icon on the right side of the address bar to quickly add a bookmark. Launch Google Chrome and head over to a website if you haven’t bookmarked anything already (for example, ). Similar to how you can add Safari website shortcuts to the Mac Dock for quick access, you can do the same with Google Chrome bookmarks too.
